I've got to get back into this......

I really want to start blogging more. This is still new to me, and figuring out what to write is the hardest part. Right now, I'm going taking it day to day. Finances are tight, but God continues to show me just how easy it can be without money ruling the day. Yesterday, I was given the most amazing treadmill! Yes, I said given! You gotta love that price right! Last week, we were given the most beautiful solid oak hutch I've ever seen! It's 7 feet tall and 6 feet long and .................. it was FREE! I guess my blog is going to turn into how you survive in this day and age with less than $30,000 a year for a family of, well 4 now LOL.
Oh yeah, did I tell you about the 92 Chevy truck that my husband is now driving? Oh yeah, it was ................ FREE! Well, we traded our 71 ford ford for it. Which had been traded for a 93 toyota, which if I remember right was traded for an 86 ford, which THAT truck was given to us!
Am I saying we don't spend money, oh NO! We do, but if we can barter, or get for free than why not! I mean, every dime I don't spend in one area I can spend somewhere else.
It's my oldest son's birthday today and I'm going to pick up my younger two and go to Walmart and yes, check the clearance area for a cake. He loves chocolate and while I probably should make him one, I didn't realize I was out of chocolate. So I'm gonna splurge this time and buy one that he can share or not up to him. He will be 22 this year and I know he doesn't have a clue how proud of him I am. He only sees me worry about him. But, that is a blog for another day.
Today, I'm working on on my treadmill and organizing my new hutch, and in the coming days I will tell you how little I spend without having to go to the extreme of extreme couponing. That just doesn't work for me. I live in a VERY rural area, no store within 50 miles that doubles coupons, so most times buying the generic is actually cheaper for me. But, I have ways to get around it, and hopefully ways that will help you as well.
In the meantime, you might checkout the following areas that I use the most:
Craigslist website
Freecycle email list
Tree of wishes website
ebay website
Talk to you soon!
